Dear Prof. Xie,

We would like to draw your attention to DAAD’s (German Academic Exchange Service) Postdoctoral Networking Tour in Artificial Intelligence (Postdoc-NeT-AI, daad.de/ainet<https://www.daad.de/en/the-daad/postdocnet/>), a programme funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

This offer addresses experienced PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers from all over the world. We want to make them aware of opportunities for research cooperation with German universities and research institutes. Each call has a specific theme, and the upcoming Networking Tour will focus on Natural Language Processing.

To reach out to the community, we need the support of researchers who are active in the AI sector. Therefore, I would like to ask for your help.

I would be very grateful if you could share the information below within your network, your colleagues and, if possible, directly with suitable candidates.

The DAAD AInet Fellows (find the previous calls and fellows here<https://www.daad.de/en/the-daad/postdocnet/fellows/fellows/>) will get in touch with leading researchers and research institutions in Germany. The fellowship consists of participation in the DAAD AInet Virtual Networking Week from 12 – 16 May 2025 and a one-week travel stipend to visit German research institutions in person. Additionally, successful applicants can apply for an exclusive short-term research funding in Germany for a duration between one and three months. All applicants will be invited to a comprehensive virtual information session on the German research system and what it has to offer.

More information on the program and the participating German host institutions can be found at daad.de/ainet/apply.<https://www.daad.de/en/the-daad/postdocnet/details-and-application/>

Please let me know if you have any questions. A feedback and suggestions for the promotion of the call are also highly welcome. Thank you very much for your support!

With best regards,

Claudia Nospickel
